Zoom makes a USB C microphone intended for Android devices. They also make a similar mic especially for iPhones. Since I will upgrade my (lightning) iPhone 12 Pro to a new USB C iPhone relatively soon I wanted a USB C microphone.

Using a cheap camera kit adapter and a USB A to USB C adapter this microphone works fine on my iPhone 12 Pro.

I needed to use the free app Auphonic to record but it works! The official Zoom app does not work however so you’ll need an android phone if you wish to upgrade you Am7 firmware.
